User story
A work item for a small outcome valuable to a user, often told as who wants what and why. It is not the epic it was split from. A technical step under the story is a delivery task. It is not a use case. A use case narrates how an actor reaches a goal, with a main flow and alternatives, and is not itself a backlog item. The story's text is often a usable representation of a stakeholder need. In this graph the requirement is that representation when it is recorded on its own, and this story is the delivery item. Link them with requirement work item when both exist. The story is not an acceptance criterion. A criterion is a condition for accepting the story, a requirement, or a service.
