Technical debt item
A work item that records a shortcut, a workaround left in place, or a design that has aged, where the cost appears as slower or riskier change later. The software may meet its requirements, so this is not a bug and not a defect. It is not an incident: nothing has to be failing now. It is scheduled with a priority, like any other work item.
