Non-functional requirement
A solution requirement that states a condition or quality of the solution rather than a function a user invokes: how fast it is, how it resists misuse, how available it is, how usable it is. BABOK also calls these quality of service requirements. Availability stated as a need is this kind of requirement. The measured availability of a running service is a different concept, and so is a service level objective, which is a target on a measurement. An objective may be how a quality requirement is checked in production. The objective is not the requirement.
